What we collect

We only collect what we need to run the site and reply to you.

• Contact form: your name, email address, optional organization, the topic you choose and your message. For workshop inquiries, any planning details you choose to share (age range, approximate numbers, location, devices, access needs). We do not ask for information about individual young people.
• Abuse prevention: to limit repeated submissions, we keep a one-way, salted hash of your IP address for about an hour. We do not store the IP address itself.
• Site analytics: we use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you personally.
• Hosting logs: our host, Vercel, processes technical data such as IP addresses and browser details to deliver and secure the site.
• Your device: if you turn on “Reduce motion”, that choice is saved in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device.

What we use it for

We use contact form information only to reply to your inquiry and to keep a record of our conversation. We don’t sell it, rent it, or use it for advertising, and we don’t add you to a mailing list.

When you submit the form we send you a short confirmation email so you know it arrived.

Please don’t send sensitive information

Don’t include passwords, private member records, health information or sensitive cultural information in the contact form or by email. If a project needs that kind of information, we’ll agree on a safer way to handle it together.

We do not put member or cultural information into AI tools by default.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run this site. They process information on our behalf, and some of them may store or process it outside Canada, including in the United States.

• Vercel: website hosting and privacy-friendly analytics.
• Resend: delivering contact form emails.
• Upstash: short-lived counters used to limit repeated submissions.

How long we keep it

Inquiry emails are kept for as long as we need them to respond and to keep reasonable business records. You can ask us to delete your inquiry at any time. Rate-limit hashes expire automatically after about an hour.

Your choices

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also withdraw your consent to us holding it, subject to any legal or record-keeping requirements.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
